Re-envision of a public housing development, New York City Housing Authority, New York City - a design thought experiment

Cosmopolitanization is necessary for helping people grow and see new opportunities. Diversity and worldly experiences contribute to building an environment for poor, middle-income, and affluent to work together and create new understandings for what they want to do and create together.

Here, the housing development is transformed to become an urban center for the broader neighborhood and a center for youth development. The development will offer a library, theater, health facility, library, services, programs and a commercial hub. Housing will be renovated, residents protected, and over 1,500 new units of housing are added.
